Joan Reed Wilson Case

Joan Reed Wilson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lehigh University in 1992 and her law degree from Boston University School of Law, cum laude, in 1997, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Law & Medicine.

Attorney Wilson practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, conservatorships, probate and trust administration, and real estate. Admitted to practice in the States of Connecticut and California, she is the President-Elect of the CT Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), an active member of the Elder Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, accredited with the PLAN of CT for Pooled Trusts, with the Veteran’s Administration to assist clients with obtaining Aid & Attendance benefits for long-term care needs and with the Agency on Aging’s CareLink Network, and she is trained in elder law mediation.

Attorney Wilson has been appointed to the Task Force To Study Ways To Protect Senior Citizens From Fraud, by Speaker of The House, Matthew Ritter.

Attorney Wilson was one of 15 attorneys chosen by the Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (CATIC) to serve on its advisory committee. Raised in Guilford, Attorney Wilson lives in Wethersfield with her husband, two daughters, and two step-children. She is a member of the Middlesex County and Clinton Chambers of Commerce.

Kristen B. Prout received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, magna cum laude, and her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, cum laude.

Attorney Prout handles probate and trust administration matters, and long-term care planning, including Medicaid and Title 19 applications and is an active member of the PLAN of CT for Pooled Trusts. She is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. Attorney Prout lives in Durham with her husband, son, and daughter.

Catherine M. Baccaro received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from Emmanuel College in 2017 and her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2022, where she received multiple awards.

Attorney Baccaro practices in the areas of estate planning, wills and trusts, elder law, and probate and trust administration. She is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut.

Attorney Baccaro lives in Higganum with her family and two golden retrievers, Ryder and Shamrock.

Carolyn graduated from Daniel Hand High School and immediately started her legal career with Marlowe, Snow & Atticks in Madison. She quickly proved herself to be a smart and valuable team member and honed her skills into one of the preeminent real estate paralegals on the Shoreline.

At RWC, Carolyn continues to serve as head real estate paralegal. She also assists the attorneys with estate planning, Medicaid, and probate matters. Carolyn has three children and lives in Madison with her husband and twin daughters.

Diana grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Boston College. She worked at Guilford Savings Bank for many years before joining her husband, Joe, full-time to operate Compassionate Care at Home, a home care agency located in Branford, which they sold last year.

Diana brings her experience of superior customer service and understanding of long-term care to RWC. She greets clients, fields telephone inquiries, and runs our billing department. Diana has three daughters and lives in Clinton with her husband and her dog, Marley.

Rebecca Gordon

Rebecca, aka Bex, is the first person you talk to when you call our office and a friendly face you can always rely on throughout your journey. ⁠

A shoreline native, a graduate of Daniel Hand High School, and a former student at Northeastern University and Southern Connecticut State University.⁠

⁠Former gymnast, manager, choreographer, and team coach at Nutmeg Twisters Gymnastics for 12 years.

Bex loves to cook, bake, and her favorite pastime is watching her boys play baseball. 2017 Madison Athletic Hall of Fame nominee and a seasoned theater performer.

Currently living in Higganum with her husband, William of 19 years, and 2 children, Liam and Riley, and her 3 cats!⁠

Margarita Pruser

Margarita was born in Odessa, Ukraine, moved to Israel at age 6, then to Miami, FL at 16, and has been living in Connecticut for about 10 years.

Graduated from Miami Dade College with an associate’s degree in Business Administration and received a bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of Miami.

Margarita loves dancing, drawing, music, boxing, baking, interior design, and putting together furniture without instructions.

Margarita manages all digital marketing, graphic design, social media, and website administration, as well as writing for the RWC blog.

Marni Lustberg

A Long Island native, Marni received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rochester, magna cum laude.  She spent 11 years in the publishing industry in both New York City and Kansas City.

While taking time off to raise her son and daughter, Marni served 2 terms as the Secretary of the Killingworth Women’s Organization, volunteered for many years at the Branford nonprofit, Read to Grow, and was a Yale-New Haven Hospital volunteer.

At RWC, Marni assists the attorneys with Elder Law and Medicaid matters.

Karen Christiansen

Born in Syracuse, NY, and moved to Killingworth, CT at age 10.⁠

A graduate of Haddam-Killingworth High School, and a former student at Briarwood Business College and Middlesex Community College.

⁠After being in the corporate world and owning a business, Karen brings her extensive knowledge to the team at RWC as a probate paralegal.

Karen loves baking and cooking for the holidays, traveling, spending time at the shore, a good book, and musicals.  She lives in Middletown with her husband and puppy Copper.
