Attorney Joan Wilson Elected Vice President of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
RWC, LLC, Attorneys and Counselors at Law is pleased to announce that Attorney Joan Wilson was elected Vice-President of the CT Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (“NAELA”).
Attorney Wilson has been a member of NAELA for 15 years and also serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Public Policy Committee. “NAELA is a professional organization of more than 4,500 attorneys dedicated to improving the quality of legal services provided to seniors and persons with special needs.”

Joan Reed Wilson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lehigh University in 1992 and her law degree from Boston University School of Law, cum laude, in 1997.
There, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Law & Medicine. Attorney Wilson practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, conservatorships, probate and trust administration, and real estate.
Attorney Joan Wilson is an active member of the Elder Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, accredited with the PLAN of CT for Pooled Trusts, with the Veteran’s Administration to assist clients with obtaining Aid & Attendance benefits for long-term care needs, and with the Agency on Aging’s CareLink Network.
She was one of 15 attorneys chosen by the Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (CATIC) to serve on its advisory committee.
Trained in elder law mediation and serves on the Board of the Shoreline Eldercare Alliance. Raised in Guilford, Attorney Wilson lives in Higganum with her husband, two daughters, and two step-children.
She is a member of the Middlesex County and Clinton Chambers of Commerce.
